What people in my life have taught me (incomplete list)

I feel grateful for many different people in my life. Here’s some of what I’ve learned from some of them:

Father: Deep thinking, actually taking time to think —and not while waiting for the bus — but truly taking time off your day to tend to important matters. Care for family, do what is right. Responsibility.

Mother: Respect for people not matter who they are. Empathy, tending to relationships. Social interaction and taking other’s into account.

B: Inner self confidence, knowledge one can learn anything if effort is there. Following one’s own path. Physical interaction (grappling).

V: Outer confidence, not being afraid to think differently. Logic. Take the world for what it is, not more and not less. Judge people and ideas on their merits. Not being taken away by every smooth talker.

J: Awareness of one’s own biases — light heartedness and joy in life. Not taking oneself too seriously. Hard work?

H: Getting things done. Impressive how calmly and logically you meet each situation.

E: Social interaction, calm.

S: Thinking differently, meeting each situation with energy.

W: Relationships, learn to talk about the most difficult aspects of things that are in relation to other people — actually discuss instead of coming to conclusions by oneself. Yoga. Love.

D&L: Music, jamming and enjoying the moment. Following your own path. Actually sitting down to talk with important people in your presence and talk about what they feel is important.

Thanks for reading.
