Fall is coming

So many things left undone, so many paths left unexplored. Just by writing (and reading), this something is left out. All the time we choose one experience over another. Time is finite, eternal sleep is getting closer each year, each day, every moment. That is our reality.

Yeah, it gets stressful if one looks at life as a way to experience as much as possible. Compare, who has experienced more — who has been around the world more in earthly and spiritual ways? It doesn’t end well. Well, it doesn’t end. The comparison never ends, the hunger for more is always there. The race for experience keeps ongoing, there’s always more — always someone who has experienced more. Stacking experiences and comparison is no way out.

What then? What other light is there to guide oneself in this future landscape that is filled with darkness? In fact, it is impossible to see anything for certain when looking forward, all is unknown — whereas the past is a filled mist of biases.

The only light truly available lies in the present. That can guide the way, at least the way out of despair. Then meeting whatever challenge arises in future darkness becomes easier. Simply by not stressing about unknowns, one is more available to deal with anything that decides to leap out of the dark unknown. Easier said than done.

But do not fret, after Fall comes Winter
then we’re back in Spring
and around to Summer once more.

Thanks for reading.
