I don’t want to know the best books around. I want to know the best 20 minute information packets around.
Books are not the best way to distribute information anymore. They used to be. Now however, given the modern attention span and the amount of top notch information — we’re in a new situation. Essays, Comedy, Conversations, Aphorisms, Music, Movie Scenes, Youtube Clips now dominate the landscape.
Where are the websites rating short essays and comedy the same way we rate books and movies? It seems we are in a stage of moving away from books — but the infrastructure to sort and filter great short content is not here yet.
